PCR-IS (Pollution, COVID-19, Rain Precipitation Information System)   


PCR-IS (Pollution, COVID-19, Rain Precipitation Information System) : Information system about the impact of rain precipitate to COVID-19 and the effect of COVID-19 on CO pollution.

HOW IT WORKS

We build geographic information system using of :
  1.         Google Earth Engine displays precipitation data that is displayed by color classification              and to get climate data of precipitation
  2.         Canva is design application for making prototype
  3.         Spatial data processing software or GIS software to display CO emission data


Our project aims to describe the distribution of precipitation with a pentad time scale and CO emission levels with the confirmed case of COVID-19. Our prototype location in the Republic Indonesia. We selected repulik Indonesia because it has data with specific values in each region and the data evenly distributed as in other countries.

RESOURCES FROM NASA

We use CO emission (kg m-2 s-1)  to understand the distributin of precipitation levels in Indonesia and the relation with COVID-19 case data. Spatial data processing software will present overlapping views between CO emission data and data cases COVID-19. 

MODEL INFORMATION SYSTEM BUILDING 

The model information system building that we made combining several things :

Google Earth Engine is a cloud computing system providing data analysis platform with various satellite based observation data and other earth observation datasets (Fadli, 2018). Google earth engine is used to display raster data and vector data. Raster data is called through the library in Google Earth Engineering, while vector data is called through assets. Raster data in the form of precipitation data is entered through the ee.imagecollection function. Through this function, raster data does not have to be downloaded first so it does not require high computer specifications. Filterdate is a function that is used to perform the data selection process that will be entered with the time range criteria of the data. Vector data in the form of Covid-19 information data in Indonesia is entered through assets. Precipitation distribution data and Covid-19 information are displayed to determine the effect of precipitation on Covid-19 distribution in Indonesia.

In using Giovanni data, CO emissions are classified by the Natural Breaks method which consist of 5 classes with color gradations. This data is the overlap with point data that has different values so that it is also explained based on graduated symbols with different circle size.


Canva.com is a simple design application by uploading images or videos for editing. used to design product prototypes. There are various menus and template for designers make prototypes.

IMPACT FOR PUBLIC

The information system that we created can be used by environmental observers and governments to make policies. Climate change and the spread of a pandemic are certainly related. Therefore this information can be used to analyze the spread of covid19.

PLAN FOR POLICY HOLDERS 

In the future we will develop by adding a report and donation feature. The community as the forefront in the response to covid19 must be active by reporting every covid19 case or participating in donations to help cove19 affected communities. In the mapping section we will develop the mapping into realtime and collaborate more with other institutions.

BUILT WITH
We used ArcGIS Pro for displays CO emissions data. For google earth engine, we used of programming language is JavaScript. We use canva.com to design application.
